A bird...who killed?

This morning Rusty had an appoitment to see his veterinarian for his annual checkup and vaccine shot. His vet said that Rusty had no problem and has healthy shape for his age of 12 and he lost some weight. When we left the veterinary for our car, I noticed on the asphalt (sidewalk)..oh a bird (pigion) was killed. I felt sorry and my heart was so hurt to see that bird so innocently killed. Probably it was hit somewhere or by the car. My sweetheart was telling me so hillarous. I laughed so hard. I don't mean to say bad thing about the bird. My sweetheart said "Do you know who killed the bird? That was Vice President Cheney!".
When we left, I popped up in my mind, "oh shoot .. we should have taken picture from the sidekick. Never thought about of it". Too late, but you can picture it yourself in your mind.
That is my story. :)

Blizzard of 2006 in New York City!..Record!

This morning we woke up and I peeked at the window. Ah snow! It's so beautiful! I love snow so much. This reminds me when I grew up in Russia. Every year during winter break from school, I flew to Siberia to visit my good friend. It was so cold, my god, what an expreience, I rode "bus dog" with Alaskan dogs (that was dog sled). It was so much fun! :D When the plane landed on that small village, I was excpeting to see bus or taxi. None! I was thinking "Where is the bus? Where is taxi? Is this a ghost town or what?" Haha then I saw my friend was coming and we hugged each other. It was been long time not seeing each other. I asked her where is bus? She said "oh bus? oh sure we have bus", when we went out and I saw her "bus dog" are waiting. I said "Is this bus dog". We laughed. It was so cool. She huddled me with a tick blanket to prevent winds and snow, covered with hat also and wheee, oh my god it was so much fun. I laughed so hard and screamed "ahhh!" Dogs were running so fast. It was my first time experinced in my life, and the following year I visited her again. I got used to it.
During night, guess what...there was a wolf outside and howling. It was so beautiful! I love that handsome wolf with beautiful eyes and it gets hungry to eat dogs or another animal. My friend's husband took riffle and went outside and fired air to scare wolf but didn't kill unless if serious to attack a person or an animal. It was so good remembering from my past experince. Unfortunately, when I moved to New York, we lost our contact. Oh well..

Anyway, I posted pictures from last year blizzard on January 23, 2005 and today, February 12.
I am with my baby sheltie (shetland sheepdog), his name is Rusty. He loves snow. He ran and play with snow like crazy! haha! So I played with him also. He has a thick coat of hair and healthy. He is 12 years old. He is running fine.
What a blizzard record of 2006! at Central park 26.9 inches! wow! I am hoping train will run fine. So I can go to work. I will stay in the office all day.

I will take my digtal camera tomorrow when I'm going to work. I will snap some pictures in Manhattan with beautiful scene. I will post pictures the day after blizzard.

These pictures were taken on January 23, 2005:

Cyclops Kitten Not a Hoax

I was reading news from internet and gasp. It's about cyclops Kitten that has one eye and no nose! But the poor thing the cyclops kitten died that evening after being alive for few hours. The kitten didn't survive, because it had no nose and that makes sense how the cyclops kitten could breathe without nose.

Remembering Sarah Pack!

The news was released that the Deaf-Intepreter Relations Committe (DIRC) will be held "Remembering Sarah Pack". Last November, we had memorial service at a church. Many of us were out of town and couldn't make to attend. Some of you were unable to make speech, because of unsuitable environment of church or being uncomfortable being in front of her parents to tell stories. They may have their reason by not having speech at church.

At DIRC there is no chapel..which is very open ..very comfortable..liberal, and you can tell a story of Sarah Pack.

Anyone who knows Sarah Pack, please join us at this meeting for an evening of stories and remembering! And bring pictures.

Sarah was a big fan of DIRC, and we feel this is the place for both of our communities to come together for Sarah!

Location: OMRDD, 75 Morton Street, Manhattan, first floor meeting room.
When: January 27, 2006 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. If you need the directions, check on interent, Mapquest or Hop Stop (only bus and subway in New York City), or ask me. Feel free to drop on comment. I will check and response.

DIRC meetings are conducted in ASL. No voice intepretation is provided.

We are looking forward seeing all of you there!

Cheers!
